From I-87
Go north on I-87 (New York Northway), get off at exit 20 and
head east on Route149 for 30+ miles. Route149 will take you
into Fort Ann (lights at Route 4), where you'll turn right
for a short ways and then left, always staying on Route 149.
You'll come to a set of lights at the intersection of Route
149 and Route 22. Turn right, still on Route 149. Continue
into Vermont and when you get to a flashing red light you'll
be at Route 30. Turn left and go into Wells, Vermont. After
passing the Wells Town Office and firehouse, on the right,
you'll see the Wells Country Store. At that point Route 30
curves to your left, but you continue straight onto E. Wells
Road. In 1/2 mile, turn to the left, which is uphill and on
an angle. At that fork, you will see a wooden sign with red
letters -- Saw Mill Hill. Go exactly one mile and turn right
on Snow Brook Lane. Go to the end of the lane and make a
sharp U-turn to the left onto the driveway for 27 Snow Brook
Lane.
From I-91
Go north on I-91, get off at exit 6 onto Route 103. Follow
Route103 through Chester (watching for where Route 103 turns
to the right) and Ludlow, a great skiing area, until you
reach Route 7 at an intersection with traffic lights. At
that intersection, turn right and in a couple of miles you
will come to Route 4, where you turn left. Stay on Route 4
to exit 4, Route 30, and turn left (south) on Route 30.
Follow Route 30 through Poultney and into Wells. As you
approach the center of Wells, where Route 30 curves sharply
to your right, you turn left onto East Wells Road. You'll
see a church on both sides and a library in the middle of
the triangular town green. Follow East Wells Road for 1/2
mile to Saw Mill Hill on the left, which is uphill and on an
angle. At that fork, you will see a wooden sign with red
letters -- Saw Mill Hill. Go exactly one mile and turn right
on Snow Brook Lane. Go to the end of the lane and make a
sharp U-turn to the left onto the driveway for 27 Snow Brook
Lane.
